Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National park is more remote than its neighbouring Tsavo West National Park although it still offers a number of lodges and campsites.  The landscape here is drier with the rolling plains hugging the edge of the Yatta escarpment, once a vast prehistoric lava flow.

There are over 500 bird species located in this part of Tsavo although the main wildlife to be spotted here is elephant and the occasional rhinos.

Tsavo East National Park is part of the National Parks in Kenya under The Kenya Wildlife Service management.
