Maasai Mara National Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in Narok County.  It has 5 entrances to the park with the common one being from Narok with the gate at this point known as Sekenani.

Maasai Mara is considered to be one of the 7^th wonders of the world with the massive Wildebeest migration being the main internationally celebrated tourist attraction.

The reserve has vast grassland and an array of diverse wildlife as well as many basic to luxurious accommodation options mainly offered in the form of Tented camps.  Maasai Mara National Reserve was once the location of the wildlife series called The Big Cat Diaries, a BBC Tv production.

You can visit the Maasai Mara at any time of the year to watch the game and engage in various activities such as the Maasai Mara Marathon or Balloon Safaris although if you want to witness the magnificent wilderbeest migration, the beginning of July is the ideal date to watch these awkward looking beests barrage their way from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures.  The effect of witnessing this adrenalin charged event live cannot be duplicated on Tv.
