Kenya Railways Museum

Kenya Railways Museum is located in an old railway building at the Northwest end of the Nairobi station along Uhuru Highway.  It was established in 1917 by the East African Railways and Harbours Corporation which was dedicated to safeguarding exhibiting remnants and records of the railways of East Africa from the date of establishment to the present day.

In the Kenya Railways Museum, you will find;

1. A collection of locomotives and rolling stock which are widely displayed including smaller exhibits and models.
2. On the yard, you will also find trains and ship models
3. The carriage used during the hunt for man-eater lions of Kima in the 1900
4. Photos from the original construction of the Uganda Railways
5. Maps and drawings of the same
6. Railway Magazines

The Kenya Railways Museum also known as Nairobi Railways Museum also plays host to a variety of events such as cocktails, fashion shows, art and exhibitions and other lifestyle events.
