Hot Air Balloon Safaris @ Maasai Mara

Hot Air Balloon Safaris offers balloon flights in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is the northernmost part of the spectacular Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, home to the Great Migration and scores of other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and crocodiles.

We are an exciting company whose owners have over 50 years of collective experience flying balloons and hosting safari guests in the Mara, as well as other parts of East Africa. Our chief pilot is currently the most experienced balloon pilot in Kenya, having flown here since 1994 with an impressive 100% safety record

Our fleet of 5 balloons consists of Cameron Balloons ranging from the three large 16, passengers balloons, one 8 passenger balloon to the exclusive 5 passenger balloon (ideal for couples, photography, honeymooners or special occasions)

We are committed conservationists and continually strive to minimize our impact on the ecosystem. From choosing the colors of our balloons, lowering the noise from the burners, and training each member of our staff, we are doing all that we can to safeguard this beautiful and important environment for future generations. In fact, since our inception, we have been a Tourism Partner of the Kenya Wildlife Trust, and a portion of every flight fee goes directly to worthy conservation projects in the Mara area.

We have a very strong relationship with the local Maasai community, and often invite our neighbors to come and fly with us. We have also helped train Jackson Njapit , a member of the local community who plans to be the very first Maasai balloon pilot. He will soon begin an apprenticeship with us in order to gain additional experience.
