Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest
[TheChamp-Sharing]The Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest is located behind Kinondo Beach on the Southern end of Diani Beach.
This forest was once inhabited by the Digo tribe in 1560 and abandoned as a village site in 1880.
Besides the enchanting forest, you will come across Colobus monkeys, fiery red squirrels, slow-flying shade-loving butterflies and giant millipedes and possibly, an elephant shrew.
The Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest is currently classified as a World Heritage site.
