Malindi Marine National Park

Malindi Marine National Park was established in 1968 along with Watamu Marine National Park.  They were first marine-park to be established in Africa hence the oldest marine-park in Africa and third in the world.  They were designated a biosphere reserve under UNESCO in 1979 and are currently managed separately as two distinct parks and reserves.

Malindi Marine National Park is part of the National Parks in Kenya under The Kenya Wildlife Service management.
