Lake Oloiden

Lake Oloiden is a small lake in Naivasha located close to but separate from Lake Naivasha.  Sometimes this lake is also called Lake Oloidien.

Long ago, it is believed that this lake used to be connected to Lake Naivasha perhaps 50 years ago or so but has now become separated. Because it is separate, its salinity can be greater than Lake Naivasha and as such, it has its own flamingo flocks and hippos which can be quite numerous.
