Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, just outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County.  It forms part of the Great Rift Valley.  It is here at the Lake that you will find a variety of bird species and wildlife in the lake and at the neighbouring Cresent Island.

Getting to Cresent Island through Lake Naivasha takes under ten minutes.  The boats used for excursion are powered by boat motor engines so getting to the Cresent Island is fast and safe.  As a safety rule, all persons boarding the boats have to wear safety jackets.

There are a variety of hotels along the banks of the Lake which offer accommodation options after a day of excursion from what Naivasha town has to offer.  Naivasha forms part of the most desirable out of town destinations for both locals and international due to its proximity to Nairobi City.
