Arabuko Sokoke National Park
[TheChamp-Sharing]The Arabuko Sokoke National Park inclusive of its forest is the largest existing fragment of the tropical forest known as Arabuko Sokoke Forest that covers much of the East African Coast. It is located 110km north of Mombasa near the Malindi and Watamu reserves. It is home to both endemic and endangered birds and wildlife species. There are about 270 birds, 261 butterflies, 79 amphibians, 52 mammals and 600 plants species
Activities in Arabu Sokoke National Park involve;
- Bird watching – Birds species include; Sokoke Pipit, Amani Sunbird,Fischers Turaco, Clarkes weaver, Golden Woodpecker and many others

- Game watching – wildlife in this area includes Golden-rumped Elephant-shrew, Sokoke bushy-tailed Mongoose, Ader’s Duiker, waterbuck, Bushbuck, African Civet, Blotched Genet, Caracal, syke’s monkey
Arabuko Sokoke National Park is also known as Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve and is part of the National Parks in Kenya under The Kenya Wildlife Service management.
