Amboseli National Park
[TheChamp-Sharing]Amboseli National Park rests under the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kenya. Created in 1974, Amboseli’s diverse ecosystems makes it the most ideal habitat for its abundant wildlife especially during the dry season with hundreds of bird species and ample game. It is here you will find all the Big Five. i.e; Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. It has a temporary lake known as Lake Amboseli and neighbours Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Though it is smaller in size than other parks, its incomparable beauty makes it a top spot for local and foreign tourists alike.
Amboseli National Park is located close to the border of Tanzania and is 140km from Nairobi. It is part of the National Parks in Kenya under The Kenya Wildlife Service management.
